Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs: Orders
How will my order arrive?
Each order is carefully packed with protective materials so it can travel safely. You’ll receive tracking once your order is on its way.
How can I track my order?
As soon as your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link by email. You can use it to follow the package from my studio to your door. If you have any trouble with tracking, feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to help.
Will I have to pay duties or taxes on my order?
Your order is shipped using DDP delivery terms whenever applicable, which means duties and import taxes are handled before delivery. In most cases, you should not need to pay additional customs fees when the package arrives. If you ever receive an unexpected request for payment, please contact me before paying so I can help check the situation.
My order hasn’t arrived yet — what should I do?
First, please check the tracking link for the latest update. International shipping can sometimes take longer because of customs or local postal delays. If your order seems unusually delayed, send me a message and I’ll help you look into it.
My order arrived damaged — what should I do?
Please contact me as soon as possible and send clear photos of the damaged artwork, the packaging, and the shipping label. Keep the original packaging until the issue is resolved. I’ll review the situation and help find the best solution.
I received the wrong item — what should I do?
Please contact me within a few days of delivery and send photos of the item you received and the packaging. I’ll check the order details and help correct the mistake as quickly as possible.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your order. If the order has not yet been started or shipped, I’ll do my best to help. Made-to-order paintings, custom commissions, and items already in production or shipped may not be eligible for cancellation.
FAQs: Original Paintings
Are your paintings original?
Yes. My original paintings are created by hand with oil paint on stretched canvas. Each piece has visible brushwork, texture, and small natural variations that make it unique.
Are the paintings ready to hang?
Most original paintings are created on stretched canvas and are ready to hang. If a specific artwork has different hanging or framing details, this will be mentioned on the product page.
What does made-to-order mean?
Made-to-order means the painting is created after you place your order. I recreate the artwork in the same overall mood, color palette, composition, and style, while still painting it by hand as a new original piece.
Will my made-to-order painting be an exact copy?
No. A made-to-order painting will not be an exact copy. It will be created in the same general style, mood, palette, and composition, but small natural differences are part of the charm of a hand-painted original artwork.
How long does it take to create an original painting?
Original paintings usually take several weeks to create, dry, prepare, and ship. The estimated processing time is shown on each product page. If you need the artwork by a specific date, please contact me before ordering.
Can I choose a different size?
In many cases, yes. If you would like a different size, please contact me before placing your order. I’ll let you know what sizes are possible for that artwork and whether the composition can be adapted.
Is the frame included?
Frames are not included unless clearly stated on the product page. Most original paintings are created on stretched canvas and can be displayed as they are, or framed later if you prefer a more finished look.
Do you sign your paintings?
Yes. Original paintings are signed by me. If you have a special request about the signature placement, you can contact me before placing your order.
FAQs: Fine Art Prints
What is the difference between an original painting and a fine art print?
An original painting is a hand-painted artwork created with oil paint on stretched canvas. It has real brushwork, texture, and small natural details that make each piece unique. A fine art print is a high-quality reproduction of an original artwork, created as a more accessible way to bring the image, color, and mood of the piece into your home.
What paper do you use for prints?
Fine art prints are produced on premium matte art paper chosen to preserve the soft color, painterly feeling, and warmth of the original artwork. The exact paper type may vary depending on the print size and production method, but each print is made with a focus on quality, clarity, and a refined finish.
Are prints sold framed or unframed?
Prints are sold unframed unless clearly stated otherwise on the product page. This gives you the freedom to choose a frame that fits your home, style, and space. Product photos may show framed examples for display inspiration.
What sizes are available?
Available sizes vary by artwork. You can see all size options directly on each product page before placing your order. If you are looking for a specific size that is not listed, feel free to contact me and I’ll let you know if it is possible.
Will my print arrive flat or rolled in a tube?
This depends on the size of the print and the safest shipping method for that order. Smaller prints may arrive flat, while larger prints may be carefully rolled in a protective tube to keep them safe during delivery.
Are your prints limited edition?
Some prints may be released as limited editions, while others may be part of the permanent collection. If a print is limited edition, this will be clearly stated on the product page.
Will sold-out prints be restocked?
Permanent collection prints may become available again. Limited edition prints usually will not be restocked once the edition has sold out. If you are interested in a sold-out artwork, you can contact me and I’ll let you know if a similar option is available.
FAQs: Commissions & Custom Paintings
Do you take commissions?
Yes. I accept custom painting requests when the subject, size, and style are a good fit for my work. You can contact me with your idea, preferred size, color palette, and any reference images, and I’ll let you know what is possible.
How does the custom painting process work?
First, you send me your idea and any references you would like me to consider. We discuss the size, composition, colors, timing, and price. Once everything is agreed, I begin preparing the artwork. Before shipping, I can send a photo of the finished painting for confirmation.
Can I request a specific size or color palette?
Yes. In many cases, I can adapt the painting to a specific size or color direction. Some compositions work better in certain formats, so I’ll let you know if your requested size or palette is suitable for the artwork.
Can you paint from my photo?
Yes, I can work from your photo if the image is clear and you have the right to use it. I may simplify or adjust the composition so the final painting feels natural in my style, rather than looking like a direct copy of a photograph.
Will I see a preview before the painting is finished?
For custom orders, I can provide a general preview, composition idea, or reference direction before the painting is completed. Since each painting is created by hand, the final artwork may have natural differences in brushwork, color, and texture.
How long does a custom painting take?
The timeline depends on the size, complexity, and current studio schedule. Custom oil paintings usually take several weeks to create, dry, prepare, and ship. If you need the painting for a specific date, please contact me before ordering.
How do I start a custom order?
You can start by sending me a message through the contact form. Please include the type of painting you have in mind, the size, your preferred colors, any reference photos, and your deadline if you have one. I’ll reply personally and guide you through the next steps.
FAQs: Care & Framing.
How should I care for an original oil painting?
Keep your original oil painting in a dry indoor space, away from direct sunlight, strong heat, and high humidity. Gently dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth or clean feather duster. Please do not use water, cleaning sprays, or household chemicals on the painting.
How should I frame my print?
I recommend framing your print behind glass or acrylic to protect it from dust, moisture, and handling marks. A mat can help create space between the print and the glass, giving the artwork a more finished gallery look.
Can I hang the artwork in a bathroom or humid room?
Yes, artwork can be displayed in a bathroom or humid room if the space is well ventilated and the piece is kept away from direct water, steam, and condensation. For bathrooms, I especially recommend framing prints behind glass or acrylic. Original oil paintings on stretched canvas can also be displayed in a dry, well-ventilated bathroom, but they should not be placed directly above a bathtub, shower, or sink.
Should I display the artwork in direct sunlight?
It is best to avoid direct sunlight. Strong sun can cause colors to fade over time and may also affect paper, canvas, or varnish. Choose a place with soft natural light or indirect light whenever possible.
How should I handle the artwork when it arrives?
Please open the package carefully and handle the artwork with clean, dry hands. Avoid touching the painted surface or the printed area directly. If your print arrives rolled, gently unroll it and place it under clean, protective weight before framing.
